Since 1974 CERT International has been sending teams of medical and dental professionals on short-term missions to provide humanitarian relief in remote locations of developing nations. Most mission trips are 1-2 weeks in length.
Medical and Dental Mission to the Amazon in Peru
Description:
Medical and Dental mission to the southern Amazon basin in Peru near the Bolivian border. Free clinics will be held in river towns and villages along the Madre de Dios and Manu rivers. Accommodations will be hotels in river towns and tents on riverbanks. Tents, sleeping mats, and camping gear is provided. Due to logistical restrictions team size is limited to 6 Healthcare professionals and 2 non-Healthcare members to serve as helpers. Mission fee is $1500 plus airfare. Mission fee includes all ground and water transportation, lodging, meals, travelers medical insurances, and a cost-share of clinic meds and supplies.
