Work to Reduce the Vulnerability to HIV/AIDs in Jinja
Description:
To reduce the vulnerability of HIV / AIDS infection among youths between 14-35 years. Under this program we have trained 13 peer educators.
A survey was carried out to determine the vulnerability of youth to HIV infection and we produced a vulnerability map with following programs in view:
- Income generating activities for youths
- HIV / AIDS sensitization and education including voluntary counseling and testing
- Training in life skills to reduce the rate of HIV / AIDS infection
- Reproductive health education
- Training peer educators
- Vocational training
