Description:
Plastic Surgeon needed at pediatric hospital in Addis Ababa Ethiopia primarily for cleft lip and cleft palate operations.
All volunteers are asked to cover their own expenses.
Qualified canidates please send a copy of your CV, license and diploma.
1) for those wanting privileges for cleft lip operations:
a) # of cleft lip operations done in the prior 2 years to their application, stratified by the # done in the US (or their residence country) and # done abroad
b) digital photos of 5 cleft lip patients- pre- and post-op (so that means at least 10 pics), including at least 1 bilateral cleft lip patient, on whom he/she was the surgeon (these patients can be from any date/year)
2) for those wanting privileges for cleft palate operations:
a) # of cleft palate operations done in the prior 1 year to their application, stratified by the # done in the US (or their residence country) and # done abroad
b) the surgeon''s fistula rate for the most recent 50 palate repairs he/she''s done (excluded in determining this rate are patients that had less than 1 week follow up in total--for example, pts done on short term trips where the surgeon does essentially no follow up examinations)
c) digital photos of 5 cleft palate patients- pre- and post-op (at least 10 pics total) on which he/she was the surgeon (these patients can be from any date/year)
